Baby Changing Units

If you have a newborn baby, a baby changing unit will make life a lot easier.
We bought ours from John Lewis, 2 years ago and it's still in action. Our son, nearly 2 year old baby is tall for his age but the changing unit is still long enough to hold him.

Simply place a soft, plastic changing mat on top and away you go.

Our changing unit in looks is similar to the Arabella Antique Pine. It has 3 long sturdy pull out draws with 2 small draws making the top shelf, with a removable, wooden area placed on the top (it is screwed into place).

Whenever it is time for our son to get his nappy changed, this is always the place we do it. The height makes it easy on the back and he can't run off half way through a change. However, never leave your baby on the changing mat unattended. Babies are wriggly creatures and there is a risk of the child falling off, if left alone.

The changing table with drawers is a solid piece of furniture; it's pricey but you get your moneys worth in the end. Flat-pack is probably cheaper if you are good at those handy jobs.
