When I was a kid I drank tap water, we all drank tap water, there's nothing wrong with tap water. The water was hard due to high limescale levels in North London, and always had a small chloriney taste, which is fair enough it needs to be clean of bacteria.And then I got older, and had a few glasses of mineral water, and the taste is distinctively different, and as I am sure you are aware, not all mineral waters are the same. Some of the cheap mineral waters do taste cheaper.It didn't take me long to find in my opinion the best, highland spring. It feels soft, clean and crisp, well as crisp as the taste of water can be.
Now I know tap water is safer, has far less bacteria in it and a lot cheaper but I still prefer highland spring.Obviously if you have children tap water is the best option, however if you are sampling the mineral waters in the UK, I would give highland spring a go and I am sure you would agree it tastes the best.
