When designing your website you might want to check that is looks OK for all users, this means testing your website out in different web browsers and versions. Not allows easy to do.
The two most common web browsers are Internet Explorer and Firefox.
In fact on my websites 80% of users have Internet Explorer, 15% Firefox, followed by Safari and Opera.
Of course you do not wish to lose any customers due to website presentation problems, however I am sure you would agree Internet Explorer should be your main focus, followed by firefox.
When designing my webpages in plain html I did find presentation differences between Firefox and Internet Explorer however many of these were caused by Internet Explorer tolerating poor html while Firefox was more picky.
Upon tidying up my html, both html and javascript, my webpages displayed and operated in both quite well.
One problem I did find was attaching windows media player to my page, the html needed to be customised to work, below is the html that I got to work in the end.
